We have asked Onyx guest services to assign us a new casino host and nothing has been done. So what is the point for us to go spend money in a casino to earn Onyx when we don't get invited to events or concerts. And some events we don't even get an invite too. She gives as little as a 6 hour notice is all before a VIP event. She knows that we live a good distance from the casino and that we need advance notice of events in order to plan and yet she doesn't give enough advance notice. To say the least she has NOT been a good casino host at all. And then about 6 months after that l was assigned a new casino host. She would communicate with us about concerts, VIP dinners, etc. The casino host that we had right after getting to Onyx was great. It's a 2 1/2 hour drive to Durant for us. We made several trips in 2022 from Oklahoma City to play at the casino to get to Onyx level. My overall stay was very good.As a Onyx member with Choctaw Casino in Durant I am just appalled about the way this casino handles its rewards program and perks for their guest. I used the seat just to relax and enjoy my shower. I loved the set for the shower in one of our rooms and the walk in shower in our other room. The Cove has reasonable prices and good sandwiches and shakes. It’s like cooking for someone on a strict diet. Chilis, The Cove I Bellevue that’s what it is called (open 24 hours and the buffet. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. They have rooms where you walk right out to the pool from the back of your room. They have a nice bar with a beautiful gas fire pit. Size is also nice and they have a hot tub next to the pool. The pool is my favorite because is the best lighted pool I have ever been in.

So luckily our stay this time around was in the new tower. Lord we were not able to sleep the 1st time we stayed.

You barely hear any walking from above or your neighbors speaking, as opposed to the older hotel. The newer addition is way better when it comes to noise. Seems to me that if this hotel can stay open until 11pm, Durant should too. Outdoor closes at 8pm and indoor/outdoor (connected) and 10pm. Love the pool and can’t understand how this location has pool stay open until 11pm on Friday and Saturday. This is a small casino resort but I like it.
